Dear Member, Dear prospective Member,
Spring is around the corner and with it our new programme. We have been very busy again putting together what should prove to be an interesting programme.
Our Society rooms will be open as always every Tuesday from 16.00 until about 18.30, unless it is a school holiday. Come along for a chat and browse through our large collection of books, videos and DVDs. A number of new videos as well as books have recently been donated.
Tea, coffee, soft drinks or even a glass of wine are always available, for a token price of €1, and very often a piece of cake as well.
From 17.00 Conversation with Yasmin Bitugu and Poetry Café with Andrew Milne-Skinner continue on Tuesdays as usual.
On the programme among the specials you will find us starting off again with the Austro-British Pancake Day. In March there will be a concert in the rooms of Mozarteum: “Tales of the Open Road”. Kristina Cusumano (Solo singer from Innsbruck’s Landestheater) will be accompanied by Hanno Winder ( guitar). Before Easter we are offering an evening of Business English for Survival and after Easter there will be 2 exciting talks. As in the winter semester, we have an African theme with an Austro- British link. Naturally, an event marking the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Dickens is a must. Of course Her Majesty, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, will not be forgotten. Our season will draw to a close with our now traditional literary excursion and finally a pleasant get together and BBQ.
Two regular events of great interest, being held by Andrew Milne-Skinner: |
